Thanksgiving...

Halloween

Emma was Dorothy of course, Caroline was a wicked witch and Avery was a wicked queen. My nephew Will was caught in a girly web. Remind me never to use green face paint ever again.

Book Character Day

Little River had it's annual "dress like your favorite book character" day to kick off our fall Read-A-Thon. Emma was Dorothy and Avery was the cowardly lion, both from the Wizard of Oz and I was The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle. And for some reason that day, my class made me live up to my name. Just plain grouchy!

True Blue!!!!!!

Well, the much awaited Duke football season has begun. We took the girls to a family fun day at the stadium and then watched the game. Surprisingly, they WON! This is my friend Anna that teaches with me. The girls love her. She doesn't have any kids and she treats mine like they are hers.

We also got invited to a "tailgate party" given by the Duke women's basketball team. The girls are pictured with several of the players.
Their favorite is Abby Waner, she is pictured in the middle with Avery posing beside her leg.

This is Coach P. This is her second year at Duke and the girls can't wait to start going to the games again.

A Beautiful Wedding

The girls were in my cousin Amanda's wedding last weekend. They were so excited. Avery was the flower girl and Caroline and Emma were the program attendants. These are just a few of the beautiful pictures that were taken that day. We want to welcome Chris into our family!

The Beginning Of A New Era......

On the first day of school, Caroline was headed off to middle school. She thinks she's 11 going on 17. She has actually adjusted very well and made many new friends that live very close to our house. It's amazing that people live so close and you haven't really met. She can't wait for basketball season to start.
Emma began her first day of second grade. She's made a new friend that just transferred to Little River named Lilly. She's having a great time with math and reading. Her teacher has also made the comment that Emma has joined the "clean plate club" in the cafeteria.

Yes, Avery started kindergarten. She told me on the first day that she and her friend Lillian were the only ones that followed directions. Yeah right! She seems to love it and she has taken a liking to the cafeteria food. Ommm, Yuck! Oh, well. She thinks she's such a big girl now. I can't believe she is so grown up. It's so nice to see her walking in the hallways and making sure she waves and blows kisses when she passes my classroom.

Buckskin Pony

Yes, Buckskin Pony is the name of the paint that is now covering my living room walls. It's been on hold for about a year and we can finally say that it's done. I put a few before and after pictures so you can see the difference. It makes it so feel so warm and comfy now. I love it!

Sorry, I should have unplugged the vaccuum cleaner before I took the picture.

Soccer Star In The Making...

Avery has now decided, out of the blue, that she wants to play soccer. Her dad was a soccer star in school, so I have appointed him to polish her newly found soccer skills. Her first game is in the beginning of September, but she feels the need to try on her cleats and shin guards every other day. Maybe this will be her niche. Who knows? Emma seems to love gymnastics, Caroline definitely has basketball fever, so maybe this is what Avery will love.
Check out that look!

My Mountain Cllimbers

We took the girls to a birthday party at a place called
Vertical Edge. They had a blast. Avery started out slow but then
was able to gain some confidence. Emma is a little climbing monkey anyway,
so she loved it. Caroline was really fast. Before you knew it, she would have
climbed to the very top[.

Here's Jody with my cousin's daughter, Lylah. He loved getting some cuddle time with her.

Future Duke Basketball Player?

Caroline went to Duke Women's Basketball Camp
for a week and here she is posing with her favorite
player, Jasmine Thomas.

Avery can't wait until she is old enough to go to the camp too.

Family Beach Portraits

I always love to coordinate the girls and take beach pictures. This year the weather did not cooperate. I usually like to take them around 7:00 in the evening when the sun is going down and it gives a little sunshine that is not so bright. Well, every evening, the cloudy skies made for yucky pictures. So, I decided that I would get the girls up early on our last day and try for the pictures then. Well, note to self, that wasn't a good idea. Three girls after seven days at the beach and an early morning wake up, don't really go together. And to make things worse, the sun wanted to shine really bright. So, we have alot of squinty pictures, but still very cute. I might try again when we go for a short weekend in October.

Our Days At The Beach.....

Happy Birthday Caroline & Emma!

Caroline turned 11 and Emma turned 7! We celebrated by having a pool party for them both.
Caroline and her friends, Hope, Nicole, Kailey and Kelsey and Kristen.

Oh, how we love the Hannah Montana guitar!

Disneyworld....Where Dreams Come True!

We had a wonderful time in Disney, but we definitely need
a vacation from our vacation. It was exhausting, but in a very fun way.
Even as an adult, Cinderella's castle is beautiful!

Dinner at Chef Mickey's and a quick pose with Minnie!

All three girls chose their Mickey Mouse ears and we had

them embroidered with their names on the back. They also had fun

collecting pins on their lanyards.

A family portrait in front of the Grand Floridian. It's one of

the most exquisite resorts I've ever seen.

Pluto took time out from his very busy schedule to pose with us.
